MailFeed is a front-end to a new messaging protocol, designed to address some shortcomings of e-mail. E-mail was designed based on traditional mail and has stayed pretty much the same over the years. We think it is time to redefine the concept of sending and receiving messages, taking advantage of what today's technology has to offer.
At the moment, MailFeed is undergoing a private testing phase. If you have an invitation, you may create an account using the form in the sidebar. Want an invitation? If you frequent the 110mb.com forums... request here.
For a step-by-step tutorial to using MailFeed, please activate tutorial mode from Global in the sidebar.
Tutor Mode is on. Now, if you haven't already, do login using the form at the top of the page. Then select the "read" tab.

The "read" screen displays your messages. When someone has a message for you, a notification appears here. When you select a message in the list for reading using its ⇑ button, it is downloaded from the sender's queue and displayed here. You can also load a message here if you know the sender's address, the message's ID, and the key; just enter them and click "Fetch." You may delete the notification by clicking its × button. Now, let's read a message from the list.

Now let's write a reply. Copy the sender's address to the clipboard, because we're going to use it soon. Now click "Quote Message."
The "compose" screen lets you write messages. To write a message, simply enter a title, a key, and the message body. If you want your message to be viewable by anyone, simply omit the key. You can also let the system generate a random key for you. Formatting is achieved using Markdown. To preview your post, click "Toggle Preview." When you're satisfied with your composition, simply click the "save" button; it will then appear on the list below. To load a message from the list, click its ¶ button. You may also delete the composition by clicking its × button. To add a recipient to the message, simply enter the recipient's address and click "Add Recipient."

Are the addresses too long? Let's shorten them using the contacts manager.
The contacts manager offers a simple but powerful interface. Whether we want to give a more memorable label to an address or we want to create a mailing list, the contacts manager is the tool to use. We can also create a complicated tree of aliases if we want, but that is a feature for power users.

Let's play around with the configuration. Now let's check out the "configure" screen, where you can specify all sorts of things about your account.
It's easy to personalize your MailFeed account. These settings let you configure various aspects of your account, including your colors, styles, and even your own profile page.
Invitations
Like what you're seeing? We have big plans for this new messaging system, but we need your help. The more users we have, the more usable the system gets. And we'd appreciate some additional feedback. Invite your friends today and share the fun around! Simply click "Generate Invitation" to create a new invitation. You'll get a code that your friend can paste in the registration box... or you can simply copy the link, which contains the code. This box lists your outstanding invitations, and the number at the top of the page indicates how many more you can generate. Thank you for choosing MailFeed!
Custom CSS
Go ahead, tweak your colors. That's right, we're letting you apply your own CSS rules. Click "Load Stylesheet" if it's not loaded in a textarea already. When you're done editing, you can click "Apply Stylesheet" to see it in action and "Save Stylesheet" to make your changes persistent. If you want your styles to be applied when you login, please check the "custom css" box in the sidebar. If you make a terrible mistake, simply uncheck the box before you login.
Custom Profile
MailFeed is all about you. So we're letting you customize your (X)HTML profile page. What's a profile page? That's simply what you get when you navigate to your mailing address in your browser. Click "Load Profile" to load the page for editing. Remember to save your work when you're done.
